The former Linos was acquired by Polaris Office Group and changed its name to Polaris AI.
Earlier, in March, Polaris Office entered the government-wide AI business by participating in the 'Korea Artificial Intelligence Computer Alliance (K-APA)' along with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, Intel, and 16 promising AI companies to target the global on-device market.
Polaris Office is supplying the 'On-Device Office AI for Mac,' which can be used without internet access. It collaborated with AI specialist company Upstage and integrated the large language model (LLM) 'Solar' into Polaris Office software. This allows the AI-powered office software to be used even on airplanes or outdoors where internet connection is unavailable.
