Gyeonggi-do Selects 5 Public and Private AI Demonstration Projects... 900 Million KRW Invested

Gyeonggi Province has selected five demonstration projects for artificial intelligence (AI) in the public and private sectors this year.

The selected projects include ▲AI personalized cognitive and language rehabilitation solution demonstration for individuals with intellectual developmental disabilities (MindHub Co., Ltd.) ▲AI sperm analysis solution demonstration providing user-experience services for fertile men in the province (GoQuba Technology Co., Ltd.) ▲AI video analysis and digital twin-based simulation operation for signal optimization solution demonstration (City iLab Co., Ltd.) ▲Multi-complex signal-based indoor navigation demonstration for user-experience in large densely populated facilities (Papaya Co., Ltd.), among others.

Gyeonggi Province will invest a total of 900 million KRW, with 300 million KRW allocated to one public sector project and 150 million KRW each to four private sector projects.

Earlier, Gyeonggi Province held a public contest for projects by sector over two months from April to May.

Kim Hyun-dae, Director of the Future Growth Industry Bureau of Gyeonggi Province, stated, "Through this AI demonstration support project, we will be able to develop AI technologies and services necessary for the residents." He emphasized, "Going forward, Gyeonggi Province will continue to prepare various support measures to become a local government leading the development and practical application of AI technology."
