Gwanak-gu to Assist Single-Person Households with Jeonwolse Contracts Again This Year

Free Service Available to Single-Person Households in Gwanak-gu, Including Young Adults Facing Difficulties with Real Estate Contracts

A, a single-person household resident in Gwanak-gu, said.

To protect the housing safety of single-person households, Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Junhee) will continue the 'Jeonwolse Safe Contract Assistance Service' this year as well.

The Housing Safety Manager, composed of five licensed real estate agents with extensive real estate knowledge and familiarity with the local situation, provides services such as ▲ Jeonwolse contract consultation ▲ housing safety accompaniment ▲ housing search support ▲ housing policy guidance.

Last year, the service was very popular, with 336 single-person households (375 cases) using it.

The service operates at the Real Estate Information Department on the first floor of Gwanak-gu Office every Monday and Thursday from 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Residents wishing to apply can do so via the Seoul Single-Person Household Portal, by phone, or by visiting in person. Especially, if applied in advance, the 'House Viewing and Contract Accompaniment Service' with the Housing Safety Manager is available on Saturdays.

In addition, the district operates the 'Real Estate Dispute Mediation Counseling Center,' which supports ▲ mediation of real estate-related disputes between landlords and tenants ▲ consultation on real estate matters including the Housing Lease Protection Act.

The center operates every Wednesday from 2 PM to 5 PM. Residents wishing to receive counseling can apply through the Gwanak-gu website (Civil Complaints → Civil Complaint Counseling → Real Estate Dispute Mediation Center Counseling Reservation) or the Real Estate Information Department of Gwanak-gu Office.

All these services are free of charge for any single-person household residing or planning to reside in the area, including young adults starting their careers and elderly people vulnerable to real estate information.

Mayor Park Junhee said, "I hope these services serve as effective helpers in preventing real estate contract damages for single-person households vulnerable to real estate information," and added, "We will continue to do our best to greatly assist in solving housing issues for single-person households."
