Man in His 40s Stabs Wife with Weapon and Jumps from Building in Jinju, Now Unconscious

A man in his 40s fell into a coma after stabbing his wife with a weapon and then jumping off a rooftop.

According to the Jinju Police Station in Gyeongnam, at around 1:20 a.m. on the 11th, a man in his 40s, identified as A, attacked his wife, also in her 40s and identified as B, with a weapon on a street in Hadae-dong, Jinju.

Afterwards, A went up to the rooftop of their two-story residence and jumped from a height of 8 meters, but survived after his body got caught on utility wires.

Both were taken to the hospital, but B, who was stabbed multiple times in the chest and other areas, eventually died.

A, who is being treated in the intensive care unit, is in critical condition and reportedly unconscious.

Previously, it was found that A and B had argued last year due to A's suspicions of B's infidelity.

The police are investigating the circumstances of the incident by questioning witnesses and people nearby, and plan to continue the investigation depending on A's recovery.
