Wemade is experiencing a decline in the early trading session due to the shock caused by its announcement the previous day to terminate its blockchain wallet service.
On the 11th, Wemade is trading at 40,600 KRW, down 1,450 KRW (3.45%) from the previous session on the KOSDAQ market. The trading volume is about 220,000 shares, with a trading value of approximately 8.8 billion KRW.
Wemade announced the day before that it will withdraw the blockchain wallet service 'Una Wallet,' which was officially launched about six months ago at the end of last year.
Wemade's Singapore-based subsidiary, WEMIX Foundation, announced on its official website on the 10th that "the Una Wallet service is scheduled to be terminated by September 2024."
The management stated, "We have decided to terminate the service to improve user convenience and provide better services in the future," but did not disclose specific reasons.
