Expected to Improve Work Efficiency and Working Conditions

Jungnang-gu Launches Full Operation of Second Office Building... Strengthening Resident Services

Jungnang-gu (District Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi) relocated three departments?the Cleaning Administration Division, the Clear Environment Division, and the Urban Landscape Division?to the Jungnang-gu Office Second Building (190 Bonghwasan-ro) on the 10th and officially began operations at the Second Building.

The Jungnang-gu Office Second Building is a structure with 4 basement floors and 10 above-ground floors, covering a total floor area of 11,314.26 square meters. It houses various facilities for residents, including the Sinnae 2-dong Community Center, Resident Computer Education Center, Small Library, Mental Health Welfare Center, Dementia Relief Center, Nutrition Plus Center, and Volunteer Center.

The department relocation was arranged to improve the efficiency of office work and enhance the working environment. Until now, as public demand from residents increased, new departments were created and the number of staff working at the district office grew, causing significant inconvenience to both residents and employees due to limited space within the office building.

With the secured space in the office building through this relocation, the district expects a departmental reorganization considering work efficiency and the securing of civil service workspaces, which will greatly improve the working environment.

The district plans to continue operating the Second Building’s facilities according to residents’ needs so that it can fully serve as a facility for the community.

Ryu Gyeong-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, stated, “We will thoroughly prepare to minimize any inconvenience and confusion caused to residents by the relocation of the three departments,” and added, “With the newly secured space within the district office, we will do our best to create various spaces for the residents.”
