Gangseo-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon) is recruiting the '2024 Summer Vacation University Student Administrative and Welfare Experience Group' from the 12th to the 18th of this month. The total number of recruits is 50, including 10 special recruits and 40 general recruits.
Applicants must be university students (including junior colleges) or on leave of absence registered as residents of Gangseo-gu as of the application start date. Graduate students, students with deferred graduation (completion), and those who previously worked in the university student administrative and welfare experience group are not eligible to apply.
Applications can be submitted on the Gangseo-gu Office website from 9 a.m. on the 12th to 6 p.m. on the 18th. The district will randomly select candidates through a computerized lottery among the applicants and announce the results on the district office website notice board at 10 a.m. on the 20th of this month. Additionally, all applicants will be individually notified of the results.
The final selected candidates will be responsible for administrative or welfare-related tasks such as civil service guidance, data collection, and on-site work assistance at the district office, community service centers, and comprehensive social welfare centers. They will work five days a week, five hours a day (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) from July 11 to August 7, and will be assigned to workplaces considering their preferred departments and majors. Only those from special recruitment categories such as recipients of the National Basic Livelihood Security, legally low-income families, registered disabled persons under the Disability Welfare Act, national veterans, single-parent families, and outstanding volunteers are eligible to apply for the special recruitment.
District Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon said, “We operate the administrative and welfare experience group to provide university students who dream of public service with opportunities to gain practical experience and earn tuition fees,” and added, “We hope many university students who want to gain social experience and enhance their employment capabilities will show great interest and apply.”
