Samjin Eomuk, a leading fish cake brand in Korea (CEO Park Yongjun), opened a rooftop pop-up bar, "Samjin Pocha," in Gwangalli, Busan, a hot spot among the MZ generation, on June 9.
Launched in time for the peak summer vacation season, "Samjin Pocha" is located on the third-floor rooftop right in front of Gwangalli Beach. Visitors can enjoy panoramic views of Gwangalli Beach and the night scenery of Gwangandaegyo Bridge, as well as watch the famous "Gwangalli Drone Show," a must-see event for tourists visiting the area, from up close.
At "Samjin Pocha," guests can enjoy unlimited snacks and alcoholic beverages for 100 minutes with an entrance fee of 19,900 KRW. The main menu features two types of fish cake soup made with Samjin Eomuk (Mala Fish Cake Soup and Original Fish Cake Soup), along with side dishes such as tteokbokki, grilled sundae and chicken feet, fish cake noodle cheese pancake, and various types of ramen.
One of the signature dishes, Mala Fish Cake Soup, is a collaboration between Samjin Eomuk and the popular mala soup brand "Sorimmara," which has gained significant popularity among young people in Korea. This menu is being introduced for the first time at "Samjin Pocha."
As for alcoholic beverages, guests can enjoy unlimited OB Beer "Cass," Jipyeong Brewery's "Jipyeong Saeng Makgeolli," "Pyeongsaeng Makgeolli," "Bonuidalbam," and Daesun Brewery's "Gangalli."
The interior is designed with an "American vintage" concept, rarely seen in rooftop bars, and various areas have been set up as photo zones to enhance visitors' experience and interest.
The venue is equipped with 34 tables and 78 seats, and will be operated with a time limit to allow more visitors to enjoy the beautiful scenery along with a variety of snacks and drinks in Gwangalli.
To celebrate its opening, "Samjin Pocha" is hosting an on-site "review event" for visitors. Guests who post a review of "Samjin Pocha" on their social media and show proof to the staff will receive a Samjin Eomuk "Rich Fish Cake Soup Cup." This event is available in limited quantities and will end automatically once supplies run out.
In addition, various offline events hosted by participating companies including Samjin Eomuk will be held on different dates and times, offering guests more memorable experiences at "Samjin Pocha."
Park Yongjun, CEO of Samjin Eomuk, stated, "In line with the 'rational consumption' trend that has emerged during this era of high prices, we have planned a pop-up bar focused on 'value for money.' We hope for your interest in the limited-time rooftop pop-up bar, 'Samjin Pocha.'"
"Samjin Pocha" will operate until November 2, and due to its outdoor location, it will be closed on rainy days.
OB Beer Cass is an official partner of the Paris Olympics and recently released a new TV commercial with the theme "The Sound of Becoming One, Cheers!" Jipyeong Brewery has relaunched "Jipyeong Saeng Makgeolli," showing a steady increase in sales. Meanwhile, Daesun Brewery's "Gangalli," which was mainly sold in the Gwangalli area, is now expanding its sales throughout Busan due to its growing popularity.
