The Joint Chiefs of Staff reported that from the 8th until 10 a.m. on the 9th, North Korea launched approximately 330 filth balloons toward South Korea, and they are taking measures in close cooperation with related agencies.
The Joint Chiefs stated, "As of 10 a.m. on the 9th, North Korea has been identified to have released a total of about 330 filth balloons," adding, "None are currently identified in the air."

Our military is sharing information with related agencies such as the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, and the National Police Agency, prioritizing public safety and taking measures while preparing for additional filth balloon launches by North Korea.
The Joint Chiefs urged, "We ask the public to be cautious of falling payloads and, if you find any fallen balloons, please do not touch them and report to the nearest military unit or police station."
Earlier, on this holiday, the Ministry of National Defense urgently ordered all headquarters staff and soldiers to work as usual despite the holiday due to North Korea’s filth balloon descent.
The Ministry of National Defense explained the reason for this order, stating, "Our military is taking the situation of North Korea’s additional filth balloon launches very seriously," and "It is essential to establish strict readiness and operational discipline at the Ministry of National Defense and across the entire military to respond immediately to North Korea’s filth balloon launches and additional provocations."
North Korea has been launching its third round of filth balloons toward South Korea since the 8th.
