The roundtable was attended by Mayor Park Hyungjun, youth advisors from central government ministries, and the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's 2030 Advisory Group.
Youth advisors from central government ministries serve as direct communicators, conveying the perspectives and demands of the youth generation regarding policy formulation and implementation to the heads of 24 ministerial-level central administrative agencies, including the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
During the roundtable, Mayor Park and the youth advisors engaged in interviews and exchanged a variety of questions and answers on topics such as the direction of regional balanced development policies, Busan's future as a global hub city, and key youth policies of the city including resident population and employment, as well as other local issues.
Prior to the roundtable, the youth advisors from central government ministries also had an opportunity to meet with Busan youth at the Busan Youth Center.
Youth from various fields in Busan (young entrepreneurs, activists and artists, supporters, public-private partnership participants, etc.) gathered to share their experiences and discuss ideas to improve the lives of local youth.
In particular, they spent meaningful time fostering communication between the central government and the local community by attending the musical 'Baseball King Marines,' featuring young artists from Busan.
Mayor Park Hyungjun stated, "Busan is the city with the highest youth life satisfaction," and added, "We will create 'Global Hub City Busan,' where youth can grow by leveraging Busan's potential, attracting quality companies to expand job opportunities, and utilizing strengths such as tourism and cultural resources based on resident population policies."
