Gyeonggi Province is publicly recruiting this year for the 'Model and Coexistence Management Complexes for Multi-family Housing.'
The Model and Coexistence Management Complex selection project for multi-family housing was first launched by Gyeonggi Province in 1997, the first of its kind nationwide, to actively discover excellent cases of multi-family housing and create a livable multi-family housing culture by realizing residents' housing welfare, strengthening autonomous management functions, and revitalizing communities.
Up to last year, Gyeonggi Province has selected a total of 296 multi-family housing complexes as model and coexistence management complexes.
The selection project targets mandatory management multi-family housing complexes and mixed-use apartment complexes with 150 or more households in the province. They are divided into three groups based on household size: 150 to less than 500 households, 500 to less than 1000 households, and 1000 or more households. The evaluation covers 17 items across four areas: general management, facility safety and maintenance, community revitalization, and recycling and energy saving, as well as excellent cases such as the formation of inter-floor noise management committees and improvements in security guard employment contracts. After a first evaluation by city and county governments and a second evaluation by Gyeonggi Province, two complexes per group, totaling six complexes, are selected.
Selected complexes receive a model and coexistence management complex certification plaque certified by Gyeonggi Province and a commendation from the governor. Additionally, planned audits conducted by Gyeonggi Province are deferred for three years, and the top-ranked complex in each group, totaling three complexes, are recommended as Gyeonggi Province’s representative complexes for the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport’s ‘Excellent Management Complex’ evaluation.
Apartment complexes wishing to participate can submit an application form to the city or county multi-family housing department within the deadline.
Park Jong-geun, head of the Multi-family Housing Division of Gyeonggi Province, stated, "The Model and Coexistence Management Complex selection project, with a 28-year history, is strictly selected through fair and professional evaluations, as evidenced by two complexes selected last year also being chosen as excellent management complexes by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport." He added, "We hope that through this project, the value of homes will shift toward the happiness and coexistence of residents."
