Project Developer 'BHM' 추진

Mungyeong City in North Gyeongsang Province announced on the 7th that it has completed the development permit to officially begin the development of the 'Bird Hill Golf Course in Oeoe-ri, Maseong-myeon'.

After Mungyeong City and the developer BHM signed an MOU in 2022, the Bird Hill Golf Course is being developed in the Oeoe-ri area of Maseong-myeon, Mungyeong City. The project covers a total area of 910,334 square meters and will consist of an 18-hole golf course and a golf hotel, with the goal of completion set for 2027.

The golf course site that was approved this time was originally started as the Bongryong Industrial Complex in 2010, but construction was halted due to the developer's financial difficulties. Although the forest and natural scenery in the area have been damaged in places, the new golf course development is expected to not only transform the area into an eco-friendly sports space but also greatly contribute to job creation in the region.

Lee Haenghee, head of the city's Urban Division, said, "Until now, only one 18-hole golf course, Mungyeong Golf Course, has been operating in Mungyeong City, so supply has been far short of the demand from local golfers. With the development of Bird Hill Golf Course, we hope to meet the local demand for golf and attract more golfers from the greater Seoul area."
