Kim Hyung-mi, a member of the Seo-gu Council in Gwangju Metropolitan City, announced on the 7th that she received the Korea Local Assembly Service Award from the Gwangju Metropolitan City Autonomous District Council Chairpersons Association.
The 'Korea Local Assembly Service Award' is given to local assembly members nationwide who have made significant contributions to the development of local governance and community harmony through dedicated service, thereby contributing greatly to the development of local communities.
Councilor Kim was the first in Gwangju to propose the 'Policy Sunset Clause Operation Ordinance,' leading efforts to strengthen administrative accountability and improve budget management efficiency. Through her proactive legislative activities, she contributed to enhancing the quality of life for district residents.
Councilor Kim stated, “I am honored to receive such a meaningful award,” and added, “I will continue to respect the wishes of the residents and actively engage in legislative activities for the development of Seo-gu, striving to fulfill my responsibilities and duties as a council member.”
