Hyein is showing strong performance. This is interpreted as being influenced by Vitor Abreu, an advisor at the US company Act-Geo, which is responsible for analyzing deep-sea oil and gas deposits in the East Sea, stating that the project's prospects are considerably high.
As of 1:31 PM on the 7th, Hyein is trading at 5,960 KRW, up 8.76% compared to the previous day.
Advisor Abreu held a press conference at the Government Sejong Complex on the same day and explained, "There is potential for traps to exist in the well, and potential for hydrocarbons to have accumulated," adding, "Global oil-related companies are already paying significant attention to this promising prospect."
He emphasized, "To forecast whether oil is actually deposited, it is important to have four structures: basement rock, reservoir, cap rock, and trap," and confirmed that these elements were identified in the deep East Sea.
Advisor Abreu stated, "We have identified the potential presence of oil and gas in the promising structures we derived, but the only way to actually prove this is through drilling," adding, "Without drilling, it is impossible to eliminate all risks."
Meanwhile, Hyein is a company that manufactures engines and generators for ships and land-based power generators. It supplies main propulsion engines, thrusters, and generator sets for all vessels operating at sea, including oil drilling ships.
