Lee Jae-hyo and Lim Ye-rin Donate 3 Million Won...Exerting Positive Influence
Despite the challenges of developmental disabilities, artists Lee Jehyo and Lim Yerin, who have been consistently creating works, spread positive influence by donating the proceeds from the sale of their exhibition pieces.
According to the Cheonan Cultural Foundation, artists Lee Jehyo and Lim Yerin donated 3 million KRW from the proceeds of their exhibition sales at the Cheonan Cultural Foundation on the 5th.
They participated as invited artists in the "Looking Inside Exhibition" held from April 22 to May 4 at M Gallery on the 2nd floor of Shinbuldang Art Center.
Both artists are active members of "Geuridabang Nemo," growing as distinctive developmental disability artists who express their unique perspectives and vivid colors.
"Geuridabang Nemo" is a group started in 2016 by local artists volunteering to expand cultural and artistic participation and talent development for people with developmental disabilities. Through various projects and exhibitions, it overcomes prejudices about disabilities through culture and art, encouraging community involvement.
CEO Andongsoon stated, "Through this cultural and artistic donation from the proceeds of the exhibition held in celebration of Disability Day 2024, we will discover various cultural and artistic projects and cooperate to ensure that developmental disability artists in the region continue to receive education and actively engage in their work."
