Remember Hapcheon Image Theme Park Holds Opening Ceremony for 3rd Video Academy

Hapcheon Video Academy 3rd Session Held to Train Local Actors

Hapcheon County in Gyeongnam announced on the 5th that the opening ceremony for the 3rd Hapcheon Video Academy was held at Danseongsa within Hapcheon Image Theme Park.

The 3rd Hapcheon Video Academy is being promoted as part of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's regional tourism development project, "Remember Hapcheon Image Theme Park."

Centered around Hapcheon Image Theme Park, the program aims to provide local residents with opportunities to participate in tourism and video experiences, thereby creating tourism jobs and revitalizing the local economy.

For this academy, Professor Oh Sejun, head of the Department of Musical Theater at Dongseo University's College of Film and Arts, was invited as an instructor to design a high-quality video academy program, and students were recruited in May.

Unlike the previous 1st and 2nd Hapcheon Video Academies, which were short-term programs, the 3rd edition has been expanded to a four-month course. A differentiated program has been prepared, offering graduates the opportunity to plan and direct performances themselves and to participate as a performance troupe at Hapcheon Image Theme Park and at local festivals both inside and outside the region.

The 30 selected participants will complete five weeks of basic lectures and ten weeks of advanced lectures following the opening ceremony, and will continue their activities as a performance troupe at Hapcheon Image Theme Park and at local festivals in the future.
