Another Perpetrator Also Fired from Workplace
"Remaining 42 Perpetrators' Identities to Be Disclosed Soon"

The owner of the restaurant where the perpetrator of the Milyang middle school girl gang rape case was working revealed that the perpetrator was fired a year ago. This restaurant gained nationwide fame after being introduced on YouTube by chef and entrepreneur Baek Jong-won a year and a half ago. However, it recently became controversial when it was revealed that perpetrator A from the 'Milyang middle school girl gang rape case' was working there. Subsequently, the restaurant faced a 'star rating attack' online.

'Restaurant Closures and Job Layoffs' Reasoned Anger Toward Milyang Perpetrators Narak Storage stated, "(The perpetrators) regularly hold meetings like a savings club, live together, and there have been reports that they boast about what happened at the time and go out to have fun." They warned, "It is natural that there is still no remorse, and since the neighborhood itself is small, we are receiving reports about any conspiracies happening behind the scenes." They also revealed that Narak Storage has currently collected information on 44 individuals.

In an interview with Yonhap News TV, the restaurant owner explained, "(A stopped working here) over a year ago." Regarding his relationship with A, he said, "(A) is my nephew in the family." He added, "When I hired him, he said he wanted to live diligently, so I accepted him, but after learning the truth a year ago, I made him quit." He continued, "It was so shameless and disgusting that I couldn't even face him, and I decided he shouldn't be here, so I made him quit."

In response to the restaurant owner's explanation, netizens commented, "It's unbelievable that a relative didn't know," "I saw him working there last month? You say he quit a year ago?", "You shouldn't go to a place like Milyang at all. Just let the perpetrators live well among themselves," "Most people in Milyang have that kind of mindset," and other remarks. Meanwhile, the restaurant has been confirmed as a violating building and will soon be demolished. Currently, the restaurant is closed.

YouTuber Who Announced Disclosure of 44 Identities

Earlier on the 1st, Narak Bogwan-so revealed the identity of one perpetrator operating the restaurant, and on the 3rd, exposed another perpetrator working at a European imported car showroom after changing his name. After the exposure, the restaurant closed, and the perpetrator working at the showroom was notified of dismissal. With the disclosure of two identities, the remaining perpetrators are also trembling with anxiety.

'Restaurant Closures and Job Layoffs' Reasoned Anger Toward Milyang Perpetrators Rak Storage said, "Currently, the perpetrators of the Miryang incident are reporting each other to me," and scolded, "Do not apologize to me, apologize to the victims." It means that the perpetrators who have not yet been exposed are appealing, saying they will apologize and reveal everything, but asking not to disclose their personal information.

Narak Bogwan-so warned, "(The perpetrators) regularly meet like a savings club and boast about what happened at that time, going out and having fun," adding, "They have shown no remorse so far, and since the neighborhood is small, we are receiving reports about their secret conspiracies." He also stated that he has collected information on 44 individuals so far.

When a netizen expressed concern, saying, "Shouldn't you have collected all the data on all 44 and started uploading videos? Otherwise, the rest will erase their traces and disappear," he replied, "I have everything." Among this, Narak Bogwan-so said, "Currently, the Milyang case perpetrators are reporting each other to me," and scolded, "Don't apologize to me; apologize to the victims." It is said that the perpetrators who have not yet been exposed are pleading not to disclose their identities, promising to apologize and reveal everything.

Since most perpetrators were born in the 1980s, it is likely they have families, and there is concern that their wives and children will be shocked. Regardless of the perpetrators' anxiety and concerns, netizens are more enraged by the perpetrators' identities and the case itself. The strong anger of netizens stems from the fact that the perpetrators of the Milyang gang rape case were not properly punished and did not apologize to the victim.

The Milyang gang rape case occurred in 2004 in Gyeongnam Milyang, where 44 male students gang-raped one female middle school student over the course of a year. The perpetrators are known to be high school students born between 1986 and 1988. Among them, 10 were prosecuted, 20 were sent to juvenile detention centers, and 14 had their cases dismissed due to settlements, leaving no criminal records for any of the perpetrators. Meanwhile, the victim reportedly had to live in hiding amid secondary victimization, so the controversy is unlikely to subside easily.
