BankSalad Announces 'Salad Game' to Help Reduce Spending

Recruitment on a First-Come, First-Served Basis from 17th to 23rd... Main Game Starts on 24th

BankSalad, a fintech company specializing in MyData (finance + technology), will launch the asset management and investment game "Salad Game," where players get back as much as they spend, on the 24th.

According to BankSalad on the 5th, Salad Game is a game where five team members spend within the team budget over five days and receive prize money equivalent to the amount spent. The team budget starts at 250,000 KRW and can be increased up to 540,000 KRW through various missions. The prize money is paid as "BankSal Money," which can be used like cash after the game ends.

Only amounts spent using cards or pay money are tracked, while fixed expenses such as management fees are excluded. During the game period, team members can check each other's spending in real-time and communicate via chat. If a team member's spending is excessive, functions like sending a "Bbyong Hammer" can help control the spending.

The team formation methods are divided into "Friend Invitation" and "Automatic Matching." Players can form teams with acquaintances using the invitation feature within Salad Game. If a team does not have all five members, it can be randomly matched with other BankSalad users.

Salad Game will recruit 600 teams (3,000 people) on a first-come, first-served basis from the 17th to the 23rd, and the first round of the main game will start from the 24th to the 28th. Salad Game will continue after the first round ends. Applications for the game can be made through the BankSalad application.

A BankSalad representative said, "We designed the game to allow users to experience BankSalad's core values of MyData and asset management while also having fun. We hope that through Salad Game, where players help control each other's spending, develop habits to reduce expenses, and earn prize money, users will discover new ways and enjoyment in managing their assets."
