Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) announced on the 5th that it will begin the open recruitment of 353 new employees (levels 5 and 6) this year. This recruitment is being conducted to swiftly carry out government policy projects such as expanding public housing supply, developing the 3rd New Town and national advanced industrial complexes, and to alleviate youth unemployment.

Starting with the recruitment announcement on the 5th, the application period will be from June 12 to June 20, followed by a written exam on July 14 and interviews in August. Final successful candidates will be selected in September and appointed as recruitment-type interns by the end of September.

The number of recruits is 353, consisting of 317 level 5 employees and 36 level 6 employees. The job categories include 132 administrative positions and 221 technical positions.

There are no restrictions on education, age, or experience; however, some level 5 technical and administrative positions require a qualification equivalent to an engineer, and for level 6, the highest education must be a high school diploma (including expected graduates) to be eligible to apply.

Starting this year, to enhance fairness in evaluation and reduce the burden on job seekers, the document screening will only include quantitative assessments such as language scores and certifications. Writing a self-introduction letter will be conducted only for those who pass the written exam and will be used as reference material during personality interviews.

To support social advancement of socially disadvantaged groups, the hiring rate for persons with disabilities will be conducted at twice the legally mandated rate (3.8%). All applicants with disabilities who meet the basic qualifications will be given the opportunity to take the written exam.

Additionally, for self-reliant youth (children who have aged out of child welfare facilities or foster care), the additional 5% points previously applied only during document screening last year will be extended to the written and interview stages, further strengthening equitable hiring practices.

For detailed information, please refer to the recruitment announcement posted on the LH website.

Based on its core businesses such as housing welfare and urban development, LH is promoting various projects to alleviate employment difficulties and revitalize the economy for vulnerable employment groups including youth, persons with disabilities, and the elderly.

Last year, LH supported the employment of 3,664 residents through the ‘Visiting Job Counseling’ project aimed at strengthening employment capabilities and economic independence of rental housing residents.

Furthermore, to ensure stable social advancement and expand job opportunities for persons with disabilities, LH hired 226 experiential interns with disabilities last year.

LH President Lee Han-jun stated, “We hope this recruitment will help alleviate youth unemployment and revitalize the stagnant job market. We expect talented individuals with fresh ideas and excellent capabilities to become members of LH, leading the execution of important policies from housing supply to new town development, and to invigorate the organization.”
