According to the city on the 4th, this roundtable focused on union executives and audit office staff visiting departments in person to explain policies for improving integrity and listen to employees' opinions.
In particular, they shared information on integrity evaluation criteria, guidelines, the 2024 integrity evaluation schedule, and measurement directions, requesting active participation to enhance integrity.
They also explained newly implemented integrity policies for this year, such as rank-specific integrity roundtables, Integrity Live, and the Abuse Counseling Center.
Employees suggested measures to improve internal integrity, including staffing for departments with vacancies, predictable personnel management, lunch break leave, and strategies to handle habitual verbal abuse complaints.
Meanwhile, following last year, the city is promoting initiatives such as the 'Integrity Happy Call Satisfaction Survey' to gather opinions from experienced administrators, 'Integrity Mileage' to establish a culture of integrity among all public officials, the 'Bitgaram Integrity Network and Integrity Festival' involving public institutions in Gwangju and Jeonnam, and the operation of a 'Corruption Reporting Center' for monitoring and addressing internal and external public official misconduct.
Im Jin-gwang, acting chairman of the Public Officials Union, said, “Organizational integrity must be managed with labor and management united and by firmly building an integrity infrastructure. The union will become a dual engine along with the audit office to improve Naju City's integrity.”
Kim Yoon-hee, head of the audit office, stated, “Following last year, the visiting integrity roundtable was a valuable time to share and listen to employees' thoughts and opinions on integrity. We will actively reflect the suggestions made by employees and do our best to improve integrity.”
