Artistic and Highly Valuable Works in Art and Fine Arts
Yeosu City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Jeong Gi-myeong) announced that it will accept submissions for the collection of artworks for the establishment of the Yeosu City Art Museum until the 21st of this month.
According to the city on the 4th, the Yeosu City Art Museum is currently being planned, and since 2022, artworks have been collected to form the foundation of the museum.
Through this public contest, Yeosu City plans to secure artworks including ▲major works to establish the art history of the Yeosu region ▲works embodying the values of peace and human rights.
Applicants eligible to participate include artists, individual collectors, galleries, corporations, and anyone else. The maximum number of works for sale submission is two per applicant. However, there is no limit on the number of works for donation.
Interested parties can submit their applications by registered mail to the Cultural Heritage Division of Yeosu City by the 21st. Applications postmarked by the deadline will be considered valid.
The city will announce the final selected artworks in July after review by the Artwork Collection Review Committee composed of relevant experts.
