Shinsegae Centum City and Haeundae Fire Station Conduct Joint Public-Private Fire Drill 2024 Public-Private Joint Fire Drill.

With the participation of about 500 employees, the drill was organized to cultivate disaster response capabilities through prompt fire suppression and evacuation, and to minimize casualties and property damage in the event of an actual emergency.

In particular, 30 members of the department store's in-house firefighting team worked together with 20 firefighters from Haeundae Fire Station, focusing on enhancing their initial response capabilities to fire incidents.

The drill simulated a fire outbreak on the department store's outdoor emergency staircase, with five pieces of equipment including fire pump trucks and ladder trucks mobilized, creating a highly realistic training environment.

The training was carried out in stages: situation dissemination, calling 119, guiding customer evacuation, using fire hydrants, extinguishing the fire, and rescuing victims. After the drill, Haeundae Fire Station also provided fire prevention education.

Han Dohwan, head of the safety team at Shinsegae Centum City, said, "Since the department store opened in 2009, we have conducted fire drills every year. Through professional and systematic fire drills, we will raise the level of safety awareness among our employees and enhance their fire response capabilities so that customers can shop with peace of mind."
