Various Reading Experience Events Held for Patriots and Veterans Month and Environment Day
Ten libraries under the Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education (Superintendent Ha Yoonsoo) have prepared a variety of "June Theme Programs" for students, parents, and other members of the education community in celebration of Patriots and Veterans Month in June and Environment Day on June 5.
The ten libraries will offer a total of 19 programs, including four experiential events and two exhibitions to commemorate Patriots and Veterans Month, four special lectures and four experiential events for Environment Day, and five exhibitions.
Bansong Library will hold the "Wednesday History" event throughout June, where participants who borrow five or more history-themed books every Wednesday will receive history experience kits such as "Doctor Ahn Junggeun and Harbin Station." Jungang Library has prepared the exhibition "Heroes Who Protected the Nation: We Remember You," introducing books about figures who sacrificed for the country throughout June.
Civil Library will host the "I Will Fix the Damaged Book!" experiential event on June 5, Environment Day, where participants will read books on environmental activities together and repair damaged books. Seodong Library will hold a special lecture titled "Changing My Life and the Earth" on June 27, exploring the problems of waste and practical ways to protect the environment in daily life.
