Asan City in Chungnam conducted the "Art Valley Asan 2nd Eco-Farming Traditional Hand Rice Planting Experience" around Oeam Folk Village.
Asan City in Chungnam announced on the 4th that it held the "Art Valley Asan 2nd Eco-Farming Traditional Hand Rice Planting Experience" in the Woeam Folk Village area.
The event, held in a 1,400㎡ rice paddy in the Woeam Folk Village area, was attended by about 50 citizens, including kindergarteners, who were recruited in advance.
Participants experienced "Jjinmo Throwing," where they threw jjinmo (bundles of rice seedlings tied with straw) into the paddy, and "Hand Rice Planting," where they transplanted rice seedlings themselves, along with a pungmul performance by the Pungmul band from Inju-myeon, Asan.
An official from Asan City said, "We will develop this event into a representative festival of the city by linking it with the annual October Woeam Folk Village Straw Culture Festival so that it can continue as a regular event."
