The 3rd Annual Event... Participant Registration Starts Tomorrow
Lotte Property & Development announced on the 4th that it will hold the '2024 Lotte Aquathlon' on the 14th of next month at Seoul's Lotte World Tower and the nearby Seokchon Lake.
Starting in 2022, this year's event, the third edition, will be conducted by swimming 1.5 km across Seokchon Lake followed by climbing 2,917 stairs up to the 123rd floor of Lotte World Tower.

As with last year, only members of triathlon or swimming clubs can participate for safety reasons. The number of participants is 800, the same as last year, and applications will be accepted starting from the 5th.
Since 2021, Lotte has been working with Songpa-gu to improve the water quality of Seokchon Lake, resulting in the lake receiving a Grade 1 rating in most water quality environment criteria. Transparency has also increased from 0.6 meters to up to 2 meters.
Last month, five affiliated companies participated in signing a business agreement to improve Seokchon Lake's water quality and carried out environmental cleanup activities such as tree planting.
A Lotte Property & Development official said, "The Lotte Aquathlon is a unique urban sports event where participants can fully enjoy the clear waters of Seokchon Lake and the charm of Lotte World Tower," adding, "In July, when the intense heat begins, this event will offer citizens a refreshing and enjoyable experience."
