Starfield Suwon announced on the 4th that it will open season 2 of its food edit shop, 'Bites Place.' Bites Place season 2 will feature popular dessert eateries and deli brands.


Starfield Suwon revealed on the 4th that it introduced new food and beverage (F&B) brands through Bites Place season 2, which strengthens the dessert category, on the 31st of last month. Bites Place is a space located on the first floor of Starfield Suwon, designed as an F&B specialized zone with a food edit shop concept where visitors can casually stop by and enjoy food. Every 3 to 4 months, it introduces new brands reflecting the latest gourmet trends.

Previously, Starfield Suwon opened popular dessert brands one after another, including the donut specialty store 'Knotted,' 'Sogeumjip,' which popularized jambon beurre, and the bagel hotspot 'London Bagel Museum.' In particular, the London Bagel Museum at Starfield Suwon, boasting the largest scale nationwide, continues to attract customers even a month after its opening.


This season 2 of Bites Place features a total of 10 popup stores led by dessert hotspots that gained popularity alongside the recent MZ generation's (Millennials + Generation Z) craze for 'Bread Pilgrimage (Bbangji Sunrye),' a trend combining bread and pilgrimage. First, 'Churreria,' a churros specialty store from Spain, the birthplace of churros, which has been run by the second generation since 1968, opened its doors. Visitors can enjoy new signature menu items such as 'Churro con Chocolate' and 'Filling Churros.'


The handmade pudding specialty store 'Purupurupudding' received positive responses by offering chewy pudding with tangle pudding and cream, as well as strawberry pudding cake. The baked goods specialty store 'Unniga Sumgyeonun Gwajasang,' known for its cookies by word of mouth, and 'Nuaiju Bakery,' which offers unique salt breads like scallion salt bread and soboro salt bread along with various bakery items, also opened. Additionally, in July, the cheesecake hotspot from Yeonnam-dong, 'Chiple,' and the glutinous rice cake ice cream brand 'Yukimochi' are scheduled to open.


Deli brands also opened popup stores for the first time among distributors. 'Zion,' a burger and taco hotspot in Sewoon Shopping Center, held a taco-focused deli popup store called 'Zion Taco Day,' and the meat brand 'RMW' introduced 'RMW Dogfather,' selling Argentine-style hot dogs called choripan made with handmade sausages, as well as bread made with handmade sausages and charcuterie.


Additionally, at 'Futoshi,' the sushi brand of the fried food omakase specialty store 'Kushiagejin,' visitors can enjoy sushi and futomaki. At 'Janginui Jip,' a Jeju black pork dumpling hot pot specialty store, customers can taste handmade dumplings and black pork belly rolls. 'Motor City,' which popularized square-shaped Detroit pizza in Korea, and 'Protein Snack,' a salad brand pursuing high-protein and low-fat meals, are also available.
