Moalife Plus Signs Joint Research and Technology Transfer Agreement on Cosmetic Ingredients with LVMH

Moa Life Plus announced on the 4th that it has signed an MTA (Material Transfer Agreement) with LVMH (Louis Vuitton) for joint research on cosmetic ingredients.

This agreement was made for the purpose of LVMH conducting cosmetic formulation development and efficacy evaluation using the newly developed cross-linked poly-gamma-glutamic acid by Moa Life Plus. It includes provisions for joint patent application and marketing utilization after negotiating the equity share of the results developed through the joint research.

Until now, Moa Life Plus has been supplying poly-gamma-glutamic acid, a cosmetic material, to LVMH, and through this MTA, it will be able to supply the new functional cosmetic material, cross-linked poly-gamma-glutamic acid.

Poly-gamma-glutamic acid is a novel functional material independently developed by Moa Life Plus, which is an edible natural immune modulator that activates immune cells and has antiviral functions without causing inflammatory responses.

A company representative explained that when used as a cosmetic ingredient, it offers superior moisturizing power compared to hyaluronic acid, as well as skin barrier improvement and soothing effects.

Meanwhile, Moa Life Plus supplies poly-gamma-glutamic acid to global luxury cosmetic brands in the European region such as Chanel, L'Or?al, Unilever, and Bioderma through cooperation with the Swiss multinational cosmetic ingredient supplier RAHN Group.

RAHN Group, established in 1940 in Switzerland, develops and distributes various materials used in functional cosmetics, food, and chemical products. It is a multinational global company supplying materials to companies worldwide through branches in Switzerland, Germany, the United States, France, and the United Kingdom.
