Jang Heecheol, Director of the 22nd National Assembly Election Nomination Management Committee, was appointed as the new Secretary-General of the People Power Party Gyeongnam Provincial Party on the 3rd.
According to the provincial party, Jang, born in 1980, majored in Chinese at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and completed a master's program at the University of North Korean Studies.
He joined the People Power Party in 2006 as a member of the 10th open recruitment class and has served as Head of the Screening Team in the Planning and Coordination Bureau, Head of the Organization Team in the Organization Bureau, Deputy Secretary-General of the Gyeongnam Provincial Party, and Director of the 22nd National Assembly Election Nomination Management Committee.
Secretary-General Jang stated, "With the 22nd Gyeongnam National Assembly members at the center, I will fulfill the responsibilities of the ruling party with the determination to fight like a thousand warriors, focusing solely on the people of Gyeongnam and the nation, and working to revive people's livelihoods and the economy."
