Dongdaemun-gu, Traditional Market Infectious Disease Prevention On-site Training
Monthly Visiting Infectious Disease Prevention Education from May to November
Guidance on Personal Hygiene Rules Compliance and Healthy Lifestyle Practices
Dongdaemun-gu (District Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) is conducting an 'Infectious Disease Prevention On-site Education and Campaign for Traditional Market Merchants' targeting local traditional market vendors.
This on-site education was prepared to raise merchants' awareness of infectious disease management and to establish a safe infection control environment within traditional markets.
The district selected three traditional markets in the area as pilot sites and will carry out the program once a month until November, starting with the first on-site education held on May 21.
The education content includes guidance on personal hygiene rules, infectious disease prevention education, and methods for practicing healthy living to improve each merchant's physical fitness level. Additionally, the district will provide infectious disease prevention video education materials produced by the district to the market merchant associations to share with the merchants.
A district official stated, "We will raise awareness of infectious disease prevention rules, especially in traditional markets with high foot traffic, and do our best to prevent and respond to infectious diseases."
