Dongseo Foods announced on the 3rd that, as the first side event of the 17th Life's Scent Dongseo Literary Award, it will hold an online literary creation lecture series called the 'Mentoring Class' featuring famous domestic writers.

The Mentoring Class is an online lecture program designed to help those who want to challenge themselves with writing by providing a systematic introduction to creative writing. Over the course of four weeks starting from today, renowned domestic writers will share their creative know-how from the basics to practical skills in writing across the four submission categories of the literary award (poetry, novel, essay, and children's literature).

On Mondays, poet Cheon Suho will present lectures in the poetry category; on Tuesdays, novelist Jeong Yongjun will cover the novel category; on Wednesdays, essayist Jeon Seoksun will teach the essay category; and on Thursdays, children's literature writer Jeong Ranhee will share lectures. One video per day will be released on the official Dongseo Literary Award YouTube channel.

On the 28th, a 'Mentoring Talk Show' will be held both online and offline at Maxim Plant in Hannam-dong, Seoul. Writer Kim Hongshin, chairperson of the Dongseo Literary Award steering committee, and writer Yoon Jeongeun, winner of the Silver Prize at the 11th Dongseo Literary Award, will share their creative know-how and discuss literature to inspire aspiring writers' passion for creation.

The Mentoring Class can be viewed through the official Dongseo Literary Award YouTube account, with videos uploaded daily at 10 a.m.
