Attended '2024 Bangtan Sonyeondan Festa' the Day After Discharge
First Solo Album Release in the Second Half of the Year...Anticipation for a New Chapter
Among the members of the group 'BTS' (Bangtan Sonyeondan), the eldest member Jin (real name Kim Seokjin), who enlisted first, will complete his 18-month military service and meet the fandom ARMY in person after his discharge on the 12th.
According to his agency Big Hit Music on the 2nd, Jin will attend the offline event '2024 BTS FESTA' held at Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium in Songpa-gu, Seoul, on June 13, the anniversary of their debut, to reunite with ARMY.
This event was planned as a meeting with fans to commemorate BTS's debut day on June 13. Jin will attend the event as his first official activity after discharge and meet fans in person.
Big Hit Music explained, "This event was arranged at Jin's suggestion because he wanted to spend meaningful time with ARMY (BTS fandom) at close distance."
The FESTA will be held in two parts: 'Jin's Greetings' (Part 1) and 'Seokjin on June 13, 2024, Weather Clear' (Part 2). Part 1 is a hug event for 1,000 people, and Part 2 consists of segments where fans can see various sides of Jin that ARMY has been eager to see.
Additionally, for fans who cannot attend in person, Part 2 'Seokjin on June 13, 2024, Weather Clear' will be live-streamed on Weverse exclusively for BTS fan club membership subscribers.
Jin, the eldest member of BTS, will be discharged first among the members on the 12th. Big Hit Music stated, "Jin will ignite the signal for activities in the second half of the year together with ARMY, raising expectations for a new chapter of BTS as a complete group."
Previously, during the '2023 FESTA' last year, Jin promised via Weverse, "I will come to see you all next year." With his first solo album release scheduled for the second half of this year, he is also expected to raise anticipation for the new chapter of BTS's full-group activities planned for the second half of next year.
'BTS FESTA' is an annual festival celebrating BTS's debut day (June 13) with fans, and this year, Jin, returning to full activities after completing his military service, is expected to add special significance by closing the festival.
Besides Jin's event, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on the same day, the '2024 BTS FESTA' ground event will take place at the futsal field and sports park area within the Seoul Sports Complex. The ground event will feature various interactive activities open to all visitors, such as 'Making Upcycling Parts,' 'Pick BTS' which randomly selects BTS song lyrics, and 'Small Photo Zones.'
All BTS members, including Jin, RM, J-Hope, Suga, Jimin, Jungkook, and V, are currently serving in the military. Suga, the only member serving as a social service worker, will be discharged at the end of June next year, after which all BTS members will have completed their military service.
