Full Overhaul of 'Nugget' Plans
Expanded and Segmented into 18 Plans
LG Uplus has launched a prepaid plan offering 6GB of data for 26,000 KRW per month. It is described as the cheapest among the three major mobile carriers.
On the 2nd, LG Uplus announced that it has completely revamped the 5G communication fee service of its prepaid plan platform 'Nugget.'
Through this revision, the plan prices have been lowered while the amount of data provided has been increased. The number of plans has also expanded from 15 to 18. The 18 plans are segmented by price and data amount in 1,000 KRW increments.
The cheapest plan offers 6GB of data for 26,000 KRW per month. The plan segment with the largest increase in data provision is in the 45,000 KRW range. Previously, it provided only 24GB of data, but the revised plan offers 50GB.
Additionally, customers aged between 19 and 34 who subscribe to Nugget communication plans can receive an additional 3GB to 30GB of data depending on the selected plan without any separate application.
To coincide with the plan revision, LG Uplus is also running a promotion until the end of this year, offering up to 50GB of additional data to customers who subscribe to Nugget plans. During the promotion period, customers who subscribe to Nugget plans can receive an additional 5 to 50GB of data monthly for 24 months according to their selected plan. The additional data during the promotion period is provided in conjunction with the youth additional data.
For example, a youth customer using the 'Nugget 5G 50GB 45' plan, which offers 50GB of data for 45,000 KRW per month, can use 130GB of data monthly by adding 30GB of youth additional data and 50GB of promotion additional data until they turn 35.
Nugget also offers 'Party Pay,' which reduces the fee burden by allowing Nugget customers to combine plans. Customers subscribed to any of the 18 Nugget plans can combine up to four lines with other Nugget customers and receive a discount of 2,000 KRW or 3,000 KRW depending on the selected plan.
