The Gwangju Cultural Credit Union Welfare Scholarship Foundation announced on the 1st that it presented scholarship certificates to 26 students selected as the 14th generation talent development scholarship recipients at the Gwangju Cultural Credit Union Cheomdan Headquarters.
During high school, scholarship students receive 1 million KRW annually, and from university admission until graduation, they receive 3 million KRW annually. Over six years, a single student receives more than 14 million KRW in scholarships. Among them, 10 selected students also receive a monthly living allowance of 300,000 KRW.
The foundation conducts social contribution activities to help outstanding students demonstrate their abilities and achieve their dreams. Since its establishment in 2012, it has awarded scholarships totaling 1.944 billion KRW to 205 scholarship students.
Ko Young-cheol, Chairman of the Gwangju Cultural Credit Union Welfare Scholarship Foundation, said, “I hope the selected scholarship students achieve the goals they set for themselves and later have a positive impact in creating a society of sharing and consideration.”
