This agreement includes mutual cooperation to establish a unique education development model for the region, build a local talent cultivation system, expand support in the public education sector, promote balanced regional development, and improve living conditions.
Mayor Choi Kimoon stated, "We will consolidate our capabilities to ensure selection as an Education Development Special Zone by establishing a close cooperation system through the regional cooperation body," and added, "Through the designation of this special zone, we will create a happy educational city for citizens and students by improving care, education, employment, and living environments."
Yeongcheon City is currently conducting a survey at each school until June 6 to actively reflect the opinions of parents and teachers regarding the promotion of the Education Development Special Zone.
