Jo Guk, leader of the Jo Guk Innovation Party, and other members of the Jo Guk Innovation Party declined the congratulatory orchids from President Yoon Seok-yeol.

On the 31st, Jo stated through social media (SNS), "I respectfully decline the congratulatory orchids from a president who unprecedentedly abuses the veto power for personal gain." On the same day, Jo expressed his refusal on SNS along with a photo of the orchids sent by President Yoon congratulating the 22nd National Assembly election victory.

Kim Jun-hyung, a member of the Jo Guk Innovation Party, shared a photo of the orchids with a post-it note saying "Discarded" attached outside his office, saying, "I am discarding the orchids from the 'Bul President'." Kim said, "I am discarding the congratulatory orchids sent from Yoon Seok-yeol's 'Bul President' office," adding, "They arrived overnight, so there is no way to return them." He continued, "The orchids are innocent, but the president's lack of communication is the fault." He added, "When he takes care of people's livelihoods and is ready to cooperate with the opposition, I will gladly accept them again."

Cha Gyu-geun, a member of the Jo Guk Innovation Party, posted a photo with the "President Yoon Seok-yeol" part cut out from the congratulatory orchids and said, "I will sharply cut off and reject the person who refuses the stern command of the people, and I will carefully nurture the precious orchids prepared with the people's tax money."

Park Eun-jung, a member of the Jo Guk Innovation Party, wrote on SNS, "The orchids are innocent," adding, "I will nurture them well and return them to the presidential office as congratulatory orchids when President Yoon steps down. Also, since there are close connections and conflicts of interest related to future bills and duties, I hope such gifts will not be sent."

On the other hand, Cheon Ha-ram, floor leader of the Reform Innovation Party, posted a photo watering the president's congratulatory orchids and said, "I hope the president's approval rating rises steadily," adding, "Thank you for the congratulations, and I ask for active cooperation with the opposition."

Meanwhile, the presidential office sent congratulatory orchids to all 300 members of the 22nd National Assembly from both ruling and opposition parties on the same day.
