Korea Manhwa Contents Agency Hosts 'Bucheon Costume Play Festa'

June 8, Held at Bucheon University Area

The Korea Manhwa Contents Agency (President Shin Jong-chul) announced on the 31st that it will hold the 'Bucheon Costume Play Festa,' an event where citizens and cosplayers can enjoy together, on June 8th at Bucheon University and the Daehak-ro area.

This newly introduced festival this year is designed for citizens to experience the comic city and to revitalize the local commercial district.


The event consists of ▲cosplayer parade ▲stamp tour ▲flea market ▲citizen cosplay experience zone ▲photo zone ▲photo studio ▲KakaoTalk Not BookTalk with BICOF ▲outdoor movie screening, among others. It will be conducted in collaboration with Bucheon University and the Daehak-ro merchants' association.


Many cosplayers are expected to roam the alleys of Daehak-ro and participate in the stamp tour event with citizens, and visitors who collect stamps will receive small prizes.


Cosplayers participating in the event can use free convenience facilities and outdoor shooting spaces prepared at the soccer field. A meeting space for communication will be created to add vitality to the local commercial district by attracting tourists.


Additionally, citizens will be able to enjoy an experience zone where they can wear cosplay costumes, photo zones, and flea markets.


Furthermore, a resting area will be set up outdoors where people can read books in a relaxed atmosphere with 'KakaoTalk Not BookTalk with BICOF,' and various related events such as the outdoor animation movie screening of 'Robot Dream' will be held.


President Shin Jong-chul of the agency said, "This event is the first of its kind this year, aiming to enhance cultural balance in the city center by moving away from the existing event spaces. Through outreach comic events, we will continue to support in various ways to increase citizens' opportunities to enjoy culture and help the local commercial district."
