The Tariff Commission of the State Council of China announced on the 31st that it will suspend tariff reductions on 134 imported products from Taiwan, including lubricants and base oils.
The commission stated, "Taiwan has unilaterally adopted discriminatory prohibitions, restrictions, and other measures on exports of mainland products, which violates the 'Cross-Strait Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement,'" and added, "We have decided to further suspend tariff concessions on certain products."
The suspension of tariff reductions on the announced items will take effect from the 15th of next month.
