Automated Investment from Target Selection to Subscription and Sale
Fintech startup Metalogos announced on the 31st the launch of the '160' app, an automatic IPO investment service.
The newly launched '160' is a service developed by Metalogos that selects high-quality IPO stocks through its proprietary 'Attractiveness Index' and executes everything from subscription to sale.
The Attractiveness Index is calculated based on an artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm, and the higher the index, the higher the expected return on the IPO stock. According to 160, among the 82 stocks listed in 2023, if investors had only subscribed to the 61 high-quality IPO stocks with an Attractiveness Index of 50 or higher, the investment success rate would have been 89% (54 stocks profitable), with a cumulative profit amount of 910,000 KRW (based on minimum subscription quantity).
Lee Dong-hoon, CEO of Metalogos, stated, "We increased investment performance by selecting only high-quality IPO stocks with a high Attractiveness Index," and added, "The Attractiveness Index is calculated using our proprietary algorithm that analyzes IPO-related information such as demand forecast results."
Yoon Do-seon, CEO of ML Investment Advisory, a subsidiary of Metalogos, explained, "The 160 automatic investment service allows IPO investments only within the investor's own account, so it is secure, and the inconvenient transfer process between personal accounts has been minimized as much as possible."
Currently, automatic investment through 160 is available at KB Securities and Korea Investment & Securities. By the end of this year, seven major IPO underwriters are expected to participate, enabling automatic investment in most IPOs.
Meanwhile, to commemorate the launch of the automatic investment service, Metalogos is holding an event until July 31st, where customers who subscribe to IPOs underwritten by KB Securities will be entered into a draw to win prizes such as iPads and AirPods Pro.
