Seocho-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jeon Seong-su) announced on the 31st that it held the ‘Youth Gallery Talk Concert,’ where young artists who beautifully decorate Seocho’s cafes, bus stops, and distribution boxes gather, on the 30th.

This concert was held as part of the ‘Youth Gallery Project’ that Seocho-gu has been promoting. The ‘Youth Gallery Project’ is a program that has been running since 2019, providing exhibition spaces to young artists in need of exhibition opportunities and allowing residents to enjoy culture in their daily lives.

The ‘Youth Gallery Talk Concert’ served as a communication platform where young artists met, exchanged conversations, shared their activities, and developed their capabilities as artists.

At the talk concert, 60 young artists gathered to share their impressions and presentations about participating in the Youth Gallery Project. They shared their valuable experiences, including what kind of support they received and what they liked the most, spending time growing further.

Following this, the Youth Artist Gallery School was held, featuring lectures such as ‘Wise Artist Life’ and ‘Learning Tips for Selling Works & Goods’ taught by exhibition experts, providing young artists with essential exhibition methods and sales skills.

Seocho-gu expects that this talk concert will be an opportunity for young artists to develop their capabilities as youth artists and grow into respectable social artists.

Meanwhile, through the ‘Youth Gallery Project,’ Seocho-gu has been connecting young artists’ works with neighborhood cafes since 2019. Due to enthusiastic interest and response from residents, the exhibition spaces have expanded throughout the city, including cafe galleries, bus stop galleries, distribution box galleries, and alleyway galleries, displaying various works.

Mayor Jeon Seong-su, who attended the event, said, “I hope that the Seocho Youth Gallery Talk Concert, held for the first time this year, will enrich the Youth Gallery Project even more and provide a great opportunity for young artists to develop their capabilities.”
