Gangseo-gu is recruiting participants for the '2024 Second Half Local Community Job Project.' Provided by Gangseo-gu.
Gangseo-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon) will recruit participants for the "2024 Second Half Local Community Job Project" from July 3 to 5. The Local Community Job Project is a program that supports public jobs by utilizing local resources, aimed at stabilizing the livelihoods of residents who have the ability to work but find it difficult to secure employment.
In the second half of the year, a total of 17 people will be recruited across four fields: ▲ production of herbal soap themed on Heo Jun ▲ job discovery team ▲ multicultural interpretation assistants ▲ operation of a mobile bicycle repair center and car wash.
Participants in the herbal soap production at the Heo Jun Museum will be responsible for creating promotional items to raise awareness of Heo Jun and traditional Korean medicine. The job discovery team supports various job-related projects such as job counseling, operating visiting job counseling offices, and visiting hiring companies, with priority given to those holding a career counselor certification. Recruitment will also be conducted for interpretation assistants providing translation services to multicultural families and workers at the mobile bicycle repair center who repair abandoned bicycles.
Applicants must be residents of Gangseo-gu aged 18 or older (born before July 1, 2006) with the ability to work. Household income must be below 70% of the median income, and household assets must be 499 million KRW or less. Working hours are 5 hours per day and 25 hours per week for those under 65 years old, and 3 hours per day and 15 hours per week for those 65 and older. However, the job discovery team works 6 hours per day and 30 hours per week.
The hourly wage is 9,860 KRW (11,000 KRW for the job discovery team), with additional support such as snack allowances and health checkups. The work period is from July 1 to December 1 this year. Those interested can apply by visiting their local community service center from June 3 to 5.
