Yeongcheon City in North Gyeongsang Province held a kickoff briefing session for the ‘Yeongcheon City Automotive Industry-Centered Future Development Strategy Establishment Research Project’ in the city hall video conference room on the 28th.

This research project aims to establish a roadmap for fostering the automotive industry in Yeongcheon City and to develop key strategies accordingly. It will be conducted over a total of seven months, from May to December.

The automotive parts industry is the core driving force of the local economy, accounting for the highest proportion in the number of businesses, employees, and sales among the region’s manufacturing sectors.

The city plans to respond to the era of future vehicles by implementing innovative and strategic changes in line with the rapid technological innovation and paradigm shifts in the automotive industry.

Mayor Choi Kimoon stated, “Through this research project, we will create a new turning point for Yeongcheon City’s automotive industry and make every effort to transform the city into a leader in the future vehicle industry by strengthening the competitiveness of local companies.”
