The KOSPI closed below the 2700 mark due to net selling exceeding 1 trillion won by foreigners. Samsung Electronics fell more than 3%.
On the 29th, the KOSPI closed at 2,677.30, down 45.55 points (1.67%) from the previous trading day.
By investor type, individuals were net buyers with 1.2669 trillion won. In contrast, foreigners and institutions were net sellers of 1.0366 trillion won and 266.7 billion won, respectively.
By sector, all sectors declined except for securities and telecommunications, which showed slight gains. In particular, electrical and electronics, medical precision, and distribution sectors fell more than 2%.
Among the top market capitalization stocks, Samsung Electronics closed at 75,200 won, down 2,400 won (3.09%) from the previous trading day. LG Energy Solution and LG Chem also fell more than 5%. KB Financial rose 1.3%, but most of the top market capitalization stocks closed lower.
On this day in the KOSPI, 220 stocks rose without any hitting the upper limit, while 676 stocks fell without any hitting the lower limit. Thirty-six stocks remained unchanged.
The KOSDAQ closed at 838.45, down 12.56 points (1.48%) from the previous trading day.
By investor type, individuals were net buyers with 252.9 billion won. In contrast, foreigners and institutions were net sellers of 72.4 billion won and 168.1 billion won, respectively.
By sector, the internet sector rose 1.65%. Digital content showed slight gains, while all other sectors closed lower. In particular, general electrical and electronics, telecommunications equipment, and finance fell more than 3%.
Among the top market capitalization stocks, EcoPro BM closed at 187,500 won, down 11,100 won (5.59%) from the previous trading day. Enchem and EO Technics fell more than 5%. EcoPro declined 4.65%. On the other hand, Pearl Abyss rose 4.43%, and HLB increased 2.16%. Except for Pearl Abyss and HLB, most of the top market capitalization stocks closed lower.
In the KOSDAQ, three stocks?People Bio, Shaperon, and J2K Bio?hit the upper limit, with 401 stocks rising. Meanwhile, 1,179 stocks fell without any hitting the lower limit, and 66 stocks closed unchanged.
