The story of Yakult salespeople who found a lost elderly dementia patient within 20 minutes is becoming a hot topic.

On the 29th, the Geumjeong Police Station in Busan announced that on the 10th at around 2:18 PM, they received a report from an elderly welfare center in Geumjeong-gu, Busan, stating that an elderly person in their 80s suffering from dementia had gone missing. The police conducted their own search and shared information about the missing person A’s appearance and other details with hy (formerly Korea Yakult) Fresh Managers (salespeople) with whom they have a business agreement.

About 20 minutes after sharing the missing person information, Yakult salesperson B spotted an elderly person with a similar appearance to A on a road in Haeundae-gu, Busan, and reported it to the police. The responding officers confirmed that the person was indeed A and handed them over to the welfare center. It was reported that A had walked about 2 km from the welfare center to Haeundae-gu.

A police official said, "Thanks to the sharp eyes of the Yakult manager, we were able to find the missing person quickly," and added, "We plan to award a certificate of appreciation to the manager."

Meanwhile, the activities of hy Fresh Managers continue to be notable. In March of last year, they found a lost elderly person in Gyeyang-gu, Incheon, and handed them over to the police. In December of the same year, they discovered an elderly dementia patient in their 80s in Daedeok-gu, Daejeon, greatly contributing to the search for missing persons.
