Airport Railroad will operate temporary trains for two days on the 4th and 5th of next month to support the smooth movement of the delegation for the 2024 Korea-Africa Summit.
The temporary trains will operate as regular trains stopping at all stations on the Airport Railroad line, departing from Incheon Airport Terminal 2 Station and Seoul Station at 9:57 AM and 11:16 AM, respectively. The existing train schedule will remain unchanged, with only two additional temporary trains added.
The Korea-Africa Summit is the first multilateral summit hosted by Korea targeting multiple African countries, with a delegation from more than 45 countries participating, the largest scale since the government was established.
The Airport Railroad stated that temporary trains will be deployed from 7 AM to 10 AM during the morning rush hour to distribute the usage among the delegation, commuters, and airport users to prevent increased congestion.
Kim Kyung-soon, Head of Sales at Airport Railroad, said, "Airport Railroad will be an important experience that leaves a first impression of Korea's transportation culture for foreigners visiting Korea for the first time," adding, "As this is an important national event attended by heads of state from various countries, we will pay special attention to ensuring safe train operations and minimizing any inconvenience to train users."
