Discontinued Ottogi Hamheung Bibimmyun Re-released Due to Consumer Demand

Chewy Noodles and Spicy Sauce Create a Fan Base
Hundreds of Consumer Requests Flood In, Revival After 2 Years

Ottogi announced on the 29th that it will re-release 'Hamheung Bibimmyun,' which gained great popularity for replicating the unique chewy noodles and spicy flavor of Hamheung Bibim Naengmyeon.

Previously, Ottogi's Hamheung Bibimmyun, launched in 2017, was discontinued after being sold in limited quantities through the crowdfunding platform Wadiz in 2022. It formed a loyal fan base with positive reviews for accurately reproducing the taste and characteristics of Hamheung Bibim Naengmyeon.

Ottogi recently received hundreds of consumer requests for the product's re-release through various online communities, customer service centers, and official social media channels, leading the company to resume production.

Ottogi's Hamheung Bibimmyun features noodles that are 1mm thick, making them the thinnest among bibimmyun products on the market. The company emphasized that this is perfect for enjoying the chewy texture unique to naengmyeon. The sauce replicates the minced seasoning flavor of Hamheung Bibim Naengmyeon. It is characterized by a savory and spicy taste based on spicy minced seasoning made with red pepper powder, sesame oil, and mustard. Various flakes such as pickled radish, bok choy, and boiled pork slices are added to maximize the chewing texture. It pairs well with various dishes like samgyeopsal, golbaengi, and tuna, allowing consumers to enjoy it according to their preferences.

Ottogi's Hamheung Bibimmyun will be available first through an online pre-launch promotion on Coupang Rocket Delivery starting on the 4th of next month. From the 10th of next month, it will also be available for purchase through online channels including Ottogi Mall.
