[2024 Apartment Brand Awards] 13 Construction Companies Selected for Enhancing Brand Value

Comprehensive Award Goes to 'Hyundai Construction Hillstate'

Construction companies are remembered by their ‘apartment brands.’ Each company's brand goes beyond a simple image and leads to trust in the apartments. This is also reflected in the highs and lows of the subscription market. For construction companies, the brand is equivalent to competitiveness. The reason construction companies put great effort into enhancing brand value is to survive in the competition. Consumers expect apartment quality, differentiated design, and construction stability through the brand. In response, construction companies continue their efforts to raise brand value through specialized designs and various community facilities.

Since the 2000s, with the deregulation of pre-sale prices and the economic recession, it has become difficult to secure competitiveness by simply ‘building good houses.’ As apartments also needed differentiation, each construction company began to create its own unique brand. In this process, many brands disappeared or were reorganized. Currently, they continue to evolve under the banner of ‘premium.’

In the current real estate market downturn, brand value is even more important. Along with location and scale, the brand becomes a crucial criterion for choosing an apartment. In fact, according to a survey released last month by Real Estate R114, 40% of respondents cited ‘brand’ as the most influential factor when purchasing an apartment.

Asia Economy selected 13 construction companies recognized for their product value in the market through the 18th Apartment Brand Awards. The grand prize went to Hyundai Construction’s ‘Hillstate,’ which is leading the housing market. By category, the winners were ▲High-Quality Design: Daewoo Construction’s ‘Prugio,’ GS Construction’s ‘Xi,’ Hanyang’s ‘Sujain,’ Hanwha Construction’s ‘Forena’ ▲Power Brand: POSCO E&C’s ‘The Sharp,’ Lotte Construction’s ‘Lotte Castle,’ HJ Heavy Industries’ ‘Haemoro,’ Seoul Housing & Communities Corporation (SH Corporation)’s ‘Baeknyeon Jutaek’ ▲Complex Residential: DL E&C’s ‘e-Pyeonhansesang’ ▲Customer Satisfaction: HDC Hyundai Development Company’s ‘IPARK’ ▲Residential Welfare: Booyoung’s ‘Sarangro’ ▲Green Smart: Korea Land & Housing Corporation (LH).
