Daejeon City announced that it will launch a free legal consultation service for young people facing legal issues starting in June.
This project aims to provide legal consultations to young adults aged 18 to 39, who are new to society and struggling with everyday problems such as lease fraud and phishing crimes, to help prevent damages.
Upon applying for consultation, individuals can receive a 30-minute one-on-one face-to-face session with a lawyer affiliated with the Daejeon Bar Association, covering a wide range of topics including civil law and criminal law.
Any young person residing in Daejeon or attending school or working in Daejeon can apply starting from the 30th through the Daejeon Youth Tomorrow Foundation's Naver reservation system, and the service is free of charge.
Consultations will begin on June 3 and will be held every Monday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Cheongchun DuduDu until November.
Min Dong-hee, Director of Welfare at Daejeon City, said, “We hope this project will increase young people’s interest in the law and help them develop the ability to protect themselves from various crimes such as fraud.”
