Park Su-hyun, the elected member of the National Assembly (Democratic Party, Gongju·Buyeo·Cheongyang, Chungnam), stated on the 29th, "Regulation of the Seoul metropolitan area is necessary for the development of Chungnam and the region in the 22nd National Assembly."
Park met with Kim Tae-heum, Governor of Chungnam Province, the day before and said, "In the current era of rural extinction in local areas, if we do not start decentralization through regulation of the Seoul metropolitan area, there will be no further development of Chungnam," emphasizing, "Regulation of the Seoul metropolitan area is absolutely necessary for the development of Chungnam."
He added, "To establish Chungnam as a leader in balanced regional development, we must strengthen the cooperative system between the National Assembly and Chungnam Province and proactively respond to laying the groundwork for genuine balanced regional development in the future, moving away from the current Seoul-centric unipolar system."
In addition, Park explained major projects in Gongju City, Buyeo County, and Cheongyang County, and requested provincial government support for △ the creation of Ungjin Baekje Cultural Village △ construction of the new Geumgang Bridge between Jangam and Seokseong △ expansion and paving of Local Road No. 625 in Gyuam-myeon △ and the establishment of a park golf hotel at the Chungnam Provincial Park Golf Course.
