On the 29th, LG Electronics announced that it will participate in the '2024 Korea Glocal Future Education Expo' held for five days starting from that day at the Yeosu World Expo Center in Jeollanam-do. The exhibition, co-hosted by the Jeollanam-do Office of Education, Gyeongsangbuk-do Office of Education, Jeollanam-do Province, and the Ministry of Education, features companies such as Google, Naver, and Intel showcasing AI-based edutech solutions. Educational institutions from 22 countries including Canada, Germany, Australia, and the United Kingdom will participate to introduce future education policies and cases by country.

Last month, LG Electronics signed a business agreement with the Jeollanam-do Office of Education and LG HelloVision to create a future education environment. They agreed to collaborate on exhibiting at the Glocal Future Education Expo, developing and building future classroom models, expanding the application of future classrooms in the region, and establishing globalization plans.

At the exhibition, LG Electronics will showcase educational IT devices such as the on-device AI laptop 'LG Gram,' Chromebooks, Whale Books, and tablet PCs, as well as electronic whiteboards that enhance class efficiency by providing educational templates, and the AI CLOi robot. The space will be designed with a future classroom concept.

The LG Gram, equipped with the latest central processing unit (CPU) specialized for AI computation, offers the 'AI Gram Link' feature. This function allows up to 10 Android and iOS devices to exchange photos, files, and share screens without a separate internet connection. Teachers can use Gram Link to deliver class materials to students' tablets or mobile devices. Students can conveniently submit their class work.

The 86-inch (approximately 218 cm diagonal) 'LG Electronic Whiteboard' installed in the classroom supports up to 40 multi-touch points. It is designed to allow multiple students to solve problems or make presentations simultaneously. It provides educational templates such as shapes and charts, as well as save and share functions. It supports wireless screen sharing for up to nine screens.

The 'LG CLOi' robot, which assists computer programming and AI education, will also be showcased. Students can create apps to control the robot using laptops, directly operate the robot, or customize the robot's home screen as desired. The robot serves as an 'assistant teacher' by sharing audiovisual materials and educational screens on the 27-inch (approximately 68 cm diagonal) displays mounted on the front and rear of the robot to support classes.

Starting with participation in the expo, LG Electronics plans to enhance differentiated education solutions by collaborating with edutech partners such as Luxrobo, Woongjin ThinkBig, and LG HelloVision, which specialize in coding education solutions.

According to a report by the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KiSTi), the domestic edutech market is expected to grow at an average annual rate of about 12%, from 4.8 trillion won in 2020 to 8.6 trillion won in 2025.

Jang Ik-hwan, Vice President and Head of LG Electronics' Business Solutions (BS) Division, said, "We will expand the future classroom experience where anyone can enjoy and learn by leading with LG Electronics' differentiated AI-based future education solutions."
