An object suspected to be a leaflet (pira) distributed by North Korea was found, prompting military authorities to take action.

The Joint Chiefs of Staff announced on the 28th, "An unidentified object suspected to be a North Korean anti-South leaflet was identified in the vicinity of the Gyeonggi and Gangwon border areas, and the military is taking measures." A JCS official urged, "If an unidentified object is found, please do not touch it and report it to the nearest military unit or police."

Meanwhile, Gyeonggi Province sent out a disaster alert text message at around 11:35 PM that day, conveying this information and urging residents to refrain from outdoor activities and to report any unidentified objects to military units.
